The students at Alexandria Country Day School have been working hard this year to learn about the habitats around us— specifically the amazing bird oasis at Monticello Park. They have conducted research and raised money, and new educational signage and improved seating will be installed in the park this spring.
As we prepare for the warblers to return, we would like to invite you to our school to hear naturalist Bill Young talk about the birds and plants of the park. He will speak and show his beautiful photographs at 7 pm on Monday April 22 (Earth Day!) The event is free and appropriate for families. It will be held in our library at 2400 Russell Road.
