A Reunion Honoring 50 Years of Service
Fifty years ago, Senior Services founder Bill Vosbeck probably never could have dreamed the milestones and accomplishments the now 50-year old Alexandria organization that helps foster independence and self-sufficiency, enabling seniors within the City of Alexandria to age with dignity but it’s real. And on Saturday March 17, 2018 at the Westin Hotel in Alexandria, it will be time to celebrate those milestones.
SSA is throwing a big party and it will be the place to see and be seen. The festive reunion will honor the legacy of those who have helped build SSA, including founders, former honorees, and former Board members. The organization anticipates 400 guests, including Alexandria city officials, and other community leaders.
“To look ahead at our next 50 years, we must first take a moment to look back at the successes and progress of our first fifty,” said Executive Director Mary Lee Anderson. “That’s why we are reaching out to past Gala honorees, former Board members, and key figures like Bill and George. We want them all to be part of this special celebration, and thank them for helping to create and build SSA into the vibrant organization it is today.”
