FOX 5’s MORNING SHOW TO BROADCAST FROM POTOMAC YARD/ALEXANDRIA FRIDAY, JUNE 8th,

FOX 5’s ZIP TRIP IS COMING TO POTOMAC YARD/ALEXANDRIA, FRIDAY, JUNE 8, 6 AM-11AM

Join FOX 5 “Good Day DC” Anchors Tucker Barnes, Wisdom Martin, Holly Morris, and Erin Como at the main stage at Potomac Yard, Potomac Ave & Swan Ave- Alexandria, VA. 

Tucker will kick off Friday’s broadcast from the main stage then head over to Fire Station 209 in Alexandria for multiple weather hits.

At 7, Holly and Wisdom will join the broadcast and greet spectators as Tucker gives a weather update at OrangeTheory Fitness to do a little workout with OrangeTheory coach, Cameron Helble. At the end of the hour, the FOX 5 team will present their “5 Must Stops” in Potomac Yard with guest Stephanie Landrum, the President & CEO of Alexandria Economic Development Partnership.

In the 8 a.m. hour, Holly and Wisdom will conduct an interview with Alexandria’s mayor, Allison Silberberg, and pose some trivia questions about the town. At 8:50, Holly will speak with Shohina Touraeva from Taste of Eurasia about her restaurant’s unique cuisine.

Shortly after 9, Wisdom will meet with Micki MacNaughton of McEnearney Associates to discuss different real estate in the area. At 9:30, as part of “Tucker Tries It,” he will try his hand at dog grooming. For First Responders Friday, Erin will proceed to interview Chief Robert Dube of Alexandria Fire, Captain Rawle Kelley of the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office, and Lt. Ed Miner of the Alexandria Police. At the end of the hour, the team will introduce Greg Dushaw of Northside 10 to discuss his food and drink menu.

In the final hour, the FOX 5 team will welcome the Hometown Hero, Rosa Byrd. In addition, the FOX 5 team will introduce Tommy Park, the executive director of the Alexandria Soccer Association, to honor the over 4,500 played in the organization as the Hometown Team. The broadcast will finish with a look at some of the food options at the local eatery Evening Star Café.
