Alexandria Fire Department to Host Open House for New Emergency Operations Center

Alexandria, VA – The Alexandria Fire Department’s new Emergency Operations Center will hold an open house on Tuesday, June 11 at 3 p.m. The new office is located the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office & Public Safety Building, 2003 Mill Rd.

The purpose of the EOC is to provide a space where representatives from multiple agencies can work together to provide resources during various types of emergency incidents, such as snowstorms, power outages, major fire incidents, and planned events.

The Emergency Operations Center is in a secured building, and all open house attendees must go through security screening before entering the facility.
