Alexandria Choral Society Announces Next Concert

ALEXANDRIA, VA-The Alexandria Choral Society (ACS) has released information concerning its upcoming performance on March 16th. The group, led by artistic director Brian J. Issac, will present The Valleys Wild as its third offering of the 2018-2019 season.

The program is described in the press release as “nature centric.” Portions of the performance will include interpretations of “Fern Hill” by poet Dylan Thomas and “Loveliest of Trees” by fellow wordsmith A. E. Housman. It will include contemporary selections as well, such as composer Joshua Fishbein’s interpretation of the legendary William Blake’s “Piping Down the Valleys Wild.”

Following the performance, ACS will host its annual gala and silent auction. The fundraiser will feature many items from local businesses. For details, click here. The ACS wants to see you at the George Washington Masonic Temple on Saturday, March 16th at 7:30 p.m.
