SCHOOL NEWS: Browne Academy’s Isabella Bloom Wins Scholarship and Apple Watch at Regional STEM Invitational

Science fair winners from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and Maryland competed for scholarships and prizes.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – On Saturday, April 13, West Nottingham Academy in Colora, Maryland welcomed ten students and their families to campus for the inaugural Spring STEM Invitational. The event brought together local and regional science fair winners from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and Maryland to compete for scholarships and prizes.

The event was created to celebrate student achievement in the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Each project was evaluated by West Nottingham community members who are experienced professionals in STEM-related fields.

Isabella’s project, “Using Greywater to Grow Red Radishes,” earned her a 40 percent tuition scholarship to West Nottingham and an Apple Watch Series 4.
