Smile Fido!

By Mary Wadland

ALEXANDRIA, VA-Ok, I admit, I am a Shark Tank addict. I record it on my DVR and am pretty sure I have seen every episode. One of my favorite things to do is to watch old episodes and then Google products that did not get deals, just to see if they are still trucking along. I never invented anything that would warrant an appearance, so I tend to identify with the optimistic hopefuls who get shot down by Mr. Wonderful.

And then there are those times when I see an invention and I have to try it, which is what happened a few minutes after I saw Jason Hernandez pitching the “Pooch Selfie,” a squeaky tennis ball attached to a plastic fitting that clips easily to any cell phone. The dog fixates on the ball, which happens to be right where the camera lens is, and click! Instant portrait.

I ordered one to test it on my two little guys, and it works. It’s a winner, everybody. The same night I got it, I ordered five more. And yes, the guy got a deal. Daymond John bought 33.3% of the guy’s company for $100k. I think it was a doggone good investment.

Available for $9.99 at poochselfie.com.
