Paint a Butterfly Effect Mural

Join Vice Mayor Elizabeth Bennett-Parker in Old Town on June 29 (Rain date June 30)

On Saturday, June 29th*, join Vice Mayor Elizabeth Bennett-Parker in painting a mural in Old Town. (Please sign-up via the link below or at:

Artist Tasha Wahl created The Butterfly Effect and Social Butterflies to promote public art and philanthropy. Through September 8, visitors will be able to take a picture within the butterfly and select a charity of their choice (from a list of more than 150) to receive a donation, with funding provided by Ms. Wahl and ACT for Alexandria. The Butterfly Effect recognizes that we can be the change we want to see in the world by facilitating small acts of kindness, encouraging generosity, and promoting creativity.

Put on some sunscreen and closed-toe shoes and join us for a couple hours of painting as we bring more public art to Alexandria! (*In the event of unfortunate weather, we will reschedule for June 30th. We will email all attendees if we plan to postpone.)
