Hank’s Pasta Bar is Closing at the End of September! But not for long!

Alexandria, VA – According to their Facebook page, Hank’s Pasta Bar, 600 Montgomery St., Old Town is closing to make space for a new, revamped Italian restaurant. Jamie Leeds of JL Restaurant Group Hank’s franchises including Hank’s Oyster Bar (Old Town Alexandria) says it’s time for the three-year-old restaurant to embrace new beginning. Starting in October, the restaurant will begin renovations that bring new options to guests, including a seasonal rooftop bar with seating for as many as 80 and an expanded regional Italian menu. The second floor will create a space where Leeds can host private bookings, cooking classes, ticketed dinners, and pop-ups. special rooftop menu is in the works with prosecco on tap, Italian sodas and cocktails, and a lineup of zero-proof drinks. Jamie Leeds is one of Washington’s most highly recognized chefs and restaurateurs due to her wildly successful restaurants; her very active role in the community, and her 30 plus years of inspiring culinary experience in New York and Washington, DC. In May 2005, she opened her first Hank’s Oyster Bar and began serving what she termed “Urban Beach Food”. Hank’s is named after Leeds’ father, who she credits as her inspiration for becoming a chef. Since its’ opening, Hank’s Oyster Bar has been praised by Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Food & Wine, Southern Living, The Washington Post, Washingtonian, DC magazine, The Washington Times and Fox Morning News.
