Alexandria, VA – Suffer from depression or aches and pains? You might’ve noticed a new trend over the last year with the opening of a number of Cannabidiol kiosks and shops around the region. The Zebra wanted to find out the latest on the CBD craze and visited Your CBD Store at 301 S. Washington Street!
Shells Karle opened the shop in May. She also individually owns two other locations in Alabama and is looking to possibly expand to Richmond. There are currently 400 Your CBD Store’s around the country, and the company is working to have 1,000 locations by 2020.
Karle is not alone in trying to capitalize on the product. In fact, many CBD affiliate programs have sprung up to meet the demand for this oil.
“The majority of our customers use it for pain management, from joint pain and arthritis. Others will use it for anxiety and depression issues,” Karle said. “There’s no THC in our products. People use it for pain management, anxiety, or depression. There is no high with CBD. It’s also a natural, organic route to go for pets, and a lot of our owners use it to help with seizures, arthritis issues and separation anxiety. We also have a lot of doctors and veterinarians that come our way. ”
Karle suffered from a running injury for years, which was finally alleviated after taking CBD – the primary chemical associated with the medical and healing properties of both cannabis and hemp plants. She also said that not all CBD oils are created equal, meaning that there is a difference between using “CBD versus quality CBD.”
“A year ago when I would talk to people, they would come in and say, ‘CBD? What is this store?’” Karle said. “Now I have a lot of people who come in and say that they know about it. But there is so much information out there, and the general public doesn’t really know how it works. It’s not a magic pill, but we have so many customers who find so much relief from it.”
Interested yet? Your CBD Store is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and is closed on Sunday.
