West End: Alexandria Laser Tag Arena to Open in December
Former AMF Seminary Lanes Bowling Alley to become Doyle’s Outpost this fall
Alexandria, VA– Renovations have been ongoing at the Seminary Plaza Shopping Center near I-395 and Seminary Road for a two-story state of the art laser tag arena called Doyle’s Outpost. The modern arcade with integrated debit card system and redemption prizing was previously occupied by the AMF Seminary Lanes bowling alley until 2005 and has been vacant ever since.
Doyle’s Outpost will feature a laser tag arena, virtual reality experiences, interactive arcade, full-service dining, and a sports bar providing beer, wine and specialty cocktails. A fully customizable event package menu will support all manner of social events, corporate events, team building events, and catered parties. For evening entertainment, the kitchen will keep pace offering late night food options. The hours will be 11 am to 11 pm Monday through Thursday, 11 am to 1 am on Fridays, 10 am to 1 am on Saturdays and 10 am to 11pm on Sundays.
Planet Fitness franchise owner Kevin Fagan has been planning this new business since 2017. Enthusiastic about bringing this new space to the community, Fagan says, “High tech entertainment centers are great draws where groups of friends can experience a more social atmosphere. We are creating a space that is especially interesting and accessible to our active millennials. I am very excited for the opportunity to bring Doyle’s Outpost to Alexandria.”
Contractors will be working during the next month to finish the buildout and renovations to the space. Doyle’s Outpost plans to open its doors in mid-December.
