Lower King Street Reconfiguration to Remain in Place for Phase Two

ALEXANDRIA, VA – During Phase Two of the “Forward Virginia” reopening blueprint, Alexandria will continue the temporary closure of the 100 block of King Street to vehicular traffic.

Signs outdoors and in businesses reminds the public to maintain physical distance of at least six feet, to wear cloth face coverings per CDC recommendations and as required by Executive Order 63, and to wash hands regularly.

Although restaurants are permitted to sell alcoholic beverages for carryout or delivery, these beverages are intended for home consumption and may not be consumed in public places.
