Alexandria Launches Website to Help Job Seekers Affected by Pandemic

Strive & Thrive initiative provides remote services and programs

ALEXANDRIA, VA – There’s some fantastic news if you are looking for a job. The City of Alexandria‘s Workforce Development Center has launched a new resource for out-of-work residents. This comes on the heels of various workshops offered recently.

The Strive & Thrive initiative will now offer various programs and services remotely. So from he comfort of your own home, you can learn about the latest opportunities that use your skillset or start anew. The best part is all the information you need is in one place. Click HERE to view.

There is a section for virtual job fairs, which use text and video chat. Meet the employer events may highlight specific, current job opportunities, open at that very moment. Another section has workshops to help you prepare for a certain job. Take a look around. Doors are opening to you.

The website also contains help for career coaching and financial assistance.

In the near future, WDC will offer open house events to help both job seekers and employers. Hang in there. Stay positive. In time, good things will happen.
