ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Art League will have a new home next year. A contractor, the Carr Companies, is planning to build a two-building property called Muse. It will be located in Old Town North at 1201 North Royal Street and welcome the Art League as a tenant.

Muse will have 73 condominiums. This includes three two-story lofts and penthouses with roof decks.

The Art League will fittingly occupy one building’s first floor, next to an outdoor area to be known as the “Arts Walk.” The space is intended to not only display art but house studios.

Currently a resident of the Torpedo Factory Art Center at 105 North Union Street, the Art League was founded in 1954 to support local artists and to teach the importance of art to the Alexandria community. The group is the founder of the Art Center and has remained there for the last 45 years.

Condos inside Muse will vary in size from 920 square feet to 2,800 square feet. Prices range from $800,000 to $2.9 million. Amenities will include a fitness center, library, and 24-hour desk service.

Project completion is scheduled for late 2021. Sales open this fall. Interested in purchasing? Click HERE.
