As reported previously by The Zebra, Alexandria’s Workforce Development Center (WDC) has stepped up to help those who have lost jobs as a result of the pandemic.

On July 30, there is a meet-the-employer event with Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). Job seekers can register HERE for the virtual gathering.

Searching for a new career? A webpage associated with WDC includes a section where visitors can find a link to career assessment information. Find the assessment HERE.

On the WDC homepage, job seekers can search for employment by keyword and location. They can also register for all upcoming WDC events. There is even an area to post resumes. At the bottom, WDC highlights employers hiring right now.

The WDC website is updated regularly, so check back often for new information and possible leads.
