ALEXANDRIA, VA – In recent weeks and months, the Alexandria community has come together to help those in need during the pandemic. There have been fundraisers, blood drives, and food drives.

On Friday, August 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m, another food distribution will take place at First Agape Baptist Community of Faith Church. The church, located at 2423 Mount Vernon Avenue, is making this event open to all.

Families will receive pre-packaged goods, including produce, dairy, and meat.

This distribution is part of the USDA Coronavirus Food Assistance Program to ensure that all families get the food they need during this challenging time.

See this City of Alexandria webpage for a full list of local food distribution events and for information about food assistance programs.
