ALEXANDRIA, VA – The local nonprofit ALIVE! continues to support the Alexandria community during this time.

The organization has announced two upcoming food distribution events. Both are set to occur on Saturday, September 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. They will be held at separate locations: the parking lots of Cora Kelly Elementary (3600 Commonwealth Ave.) and John Adams Elementary (5651 Rayburn Ave.).

The events are part of the Truck-to-Trunk program. Please note that food supply is limited.

Residents are encouraged to drive through and remain inside their vehicles. ALIVE! reminds people who choose to walk to the distribution sites to wear a mask and maintain a distance of six feet around others. Bring carts or bags to take food home.
