ALEXANDRIA, VA-Library access is now available everywhere you go. Alexandria Library today launched its new mobile app, making their whole catalog and more available on your smartphone.

“During the pandemic, access to digital resources are crucial. We want the library to be easily accessible whenever and wherever people need access to our staff and rich resources,” said the library’s executive director, Rose Dawson.

Through the app, patrons can place holds, renew checkouts, locate a branch, and register for events. There are even additional features such as ISBN search, where readers can see if books they wish to borrow are owned by the library. All it takes is a simple scan of a title’s ISBN number.

To download the app, go to https://alexlibraryva.org/mobile-apps using your smartphone or tablet’s browser.  Be sure to combine the app with Overdrive and Libby to get the most complete experience.
