Alexandria, VA – Mas Seafood Market, specializing in providing fresh seafood for restaurants, grocery stores, retail markets, and individuals, is new to Old Town North. The market evolved from Manolo & Son LLC in early 2020.
Started by Manuel Ribadulla in 2006, last year Manolo & Son was struck by a need for change. When the COVID-19 quarantine went into place, many local restaurants cut back on their orders of seafood, leaving Manolo & Son with excess fish, lobster, crab, you name it, in their coolers and at risk of spoiling.
But Manuel’s son Michael and Michael’s wife Katy had an idea. “I shared our dilemma on Facebook and other social media platforms,” says Katy. “The neighbors quickly rallied and Mas Seafood was born.”
Located at 809 Pendleton Street, Mas Seafood is open for business Tuesday through Sunday.
The Market is part of the Reimagined Taste of Old Town North and has plans to add a complete selection of gourmet items by mid-July.
Mas Seafood is a family business through and through, and now owned by Katy and Michael Ribadulla.

We have been purchasing seafood here for close to or over a year. A couple of times a week. We had previously bought seafood at Whole Food or Balducci. Now we buy exclusively at Mas. Terrific seafood every time. I highly, highly recommend Mas. Mike and Katy will take good care of you.
