Alexandria, VA – On April 22, Mayor Justin Wilson officially kicked off the Reimagined Taste of Old Town North at the Thursday Farmer’s Market in Montgomery Park, 901 North Royal Street. The event celebrated the vendors and artisans at the market. It included a free Art in the Park Class with Kidcreate Studio and demonstrations from Mayweather Boxing and Seichou Karate.
The Reimagined Taste of Old Town North is a two-month stroll through OTN’s Arts and Cultural District, Parker Grey, and Braddock Rd. West, encouraging people near and far to experience all the neighborhood has to offer.
A $10 Passport purchased at the Old Town North Thursday Farmer’s Market or online at oldtownnorth.org entitles passport holders to discounts at participating businesses from April 21 through June 21.
A percentage of the profits from Passport sales will benefit local not-for-profit ALIVE! Learn more about ALIVE! at www.alive-inc.org.
The Reimagined Taste of Old Town North is sponsored by the Old Town North Community Partnership with enthusiastic support from Visit Alexandria, the City of Alexandria, the Old Town North Alliance, NOTICe, and Old Town North’s local small businesses.
“This is just such a good-spirited, light-hearted, and fun way to give back and get involved,” Mayor Wilson said, and Zebra agrees. Show up, support local businesses, and have a great time!
