ALEXANDRIA, VA-In February, The Zebra Press reported that the Colasanto Pool at 2700 Mt. Vernon Ave. will be redesigned. Today, the Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities announced that residents are invited to give their feedback on the designs during a virtual meeting.

The meeting takes place on Thursday, May 13 at 7 p.m.

The redesign includes both the pool and the surrounding spray park. The design team, led by LSG Landscape Architects, has created three concepts for the site. Input received at the meeting will be used to select a design concept for the project, which will go through a thorough design process.

A volunteer group, The Del Ray Gateway Project, has been working with the city in planning this redesign.

Participants must register in advance for the meeting. After registering, an email will be sent with login information. Those who wish to take part by phone may do so by using these instructions:

  • Call in number: 301-715-8592
