SCAM ALERT: AARP Reports Fake Vaccine Survey Steals Personal Information

ALEXANDRIA, VA-AARP is warning Virginia seniors about an email/text scam making the rounds this week. Con artists are trying to take advantage of millions of Americans who have received their COVID-19 vaccines.

The scam involves fake surveys that ask about vaccine experience. These emails and texts are sent to steal sensitive personal information.

AARP says these messages look legitimate and may even include the logos of the vaccine manufacturers,

There are three ways to spot the scam First, a prize is offered for participating. Second, the message requests an immediate reply. Finally, iwhen interacting with the message, it will ask for credit card or other payment information.
