St. Stephen’s Girls Lacrosse Coach Kathy Jenkins Honored by Students and Faculty

ALEXANDRIA, VA-On Thursday, May 27, students and faculty at St. Stephens and St. Agnes School honored girls lacrosse coach Kathy Jenkins. Jenkins was recognized for more than 50 years of service to the school and the team.

An advocate for girls sports, her remarkable career as a lacrosse coach has garnered national attention. Jenkins currently holds the record for most wins in high school girls lacrosse. In May 2019, she reached 800 wins.

Joining the St. Stephen’s faculty in 1971, she co-founded the school’s lacrosse program five years later.

Over her career, she has worked with many organizations that support and increase interest in the sport, both in the DMV area and nationally.
