Local Teacher Wins Car and Makes History

Every year, Jack Taylor buys a ticket for every Alexandria High School teacher, and none of them has ever won the annual raffle for the coveted car. Until now.

Alexandria, VA – Every year, Jack Taylor buys a ticket for every Alexandria High School teacher, and none of them has ever won the annual raffle for the coveted car. Until now. Jennifer Dargue has been teaching science at Alexandria City High School (formerly T.C. Williams) for 21 years. This year, she made history by becoming the first teacher to win Alexandria Toyota‘s raffle benefiting the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria. John Taylor, General Manager of the dealership, presented Jennifer with a check for $25,000, which Dargue chose instead of the car.
