ALEXANDRIA, VA-The biggest outdoor food festival in the D.C metro area will happen on Saturday, July 31. And this year’s edition will be held in Alexandria. Enjoy food, music, and an experience highlighting cultural diversity at Oronoco Bay Park from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Thirty-five countries will be represented at the Around the World Cultural Food Festival. It is free to attend, but there will be a cost for food and beverages. While eating, participants can watch a folk show with traditional songs and dances from all over the globe. See performances popular in Romania, Brazil, Egypt, and many more destinations.

There will be food vendors with more than 60 selections from 10 countries, including Jamaica, Peru, Merxico, and Turkey.

Show support for artisans, crafters, and various small businesses in attendance by browsing their offerings and purchasing something for home.

The festival’s mission is to “create a cultural and educational experience like no other in the DMV in which participating exhibitors are encouraged to present the most traditional items from their countries,” according to a press release.

For more information, visit the festival’s website (linked above), Like them on Facebook, and connect to their Twitter feed.

Oronoco Bay Park is located at 100 Madison St.
