Paws in the Park Releases List of Food, Drink, Entertainment Vendors
Oct. 16 pet-focused event will offer food, drinks, music, and more for attendees of all ages.
ALEXANDRIA, VA—On Sunday Oct. 16, Paws in the Park (formerly Alexandria Love Your Pet Day) returns to Oronoco Bay Park. From 11am-4pm, enjoy an exciting new line-up of fun, free, and family-friendly entertainment, food, and drink options for all ages.
After opening remarks at 11am, the mainstage line-up, sponsored by the Alexandria Library Foundation, will offer music and entertainment for a wide variety of audiences. At 11:30am, bilingual music sensation Uno Dos Très Andréskicks off the day’s music, followed by children’s musician Groovy Nate at 12:45pm. Starting at 2pm, Justin Paschalides performs classic and modern pop and rock music, and the musical stylings round out with jazz trio Bill Cabrera and Company at 3:15pm.
Along with dozens of local artisans and animal-focused businesses, Paws in the Park will also offer a wide-ranging food court with a beer garden, providing a wide variety of food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages. Bring your picnic blanket, and savor beer from Port City Brewing Company, cider from Lost Boy Cider, and wine from Woodlawn Press Winery, as well as food offerings from Ana’s Twist, The Big Cheese, and A.M. Kettle, and coffee from Sip Coffee Inc.
Paws in the Park is open to well-behaved, leashed pets. Adoptable animals will also be onsite on Rescue Row (sponsored by Amazon) from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, America’s k-9 Caring Angels, Australian Shepherds Furever, Miri’s Haven Senior Dog Rescue, Oldies But Goodies Cocker Rescue, Squishy Face Crew Virginia and Tails High Inc. Proceeds from the event will benefit animals across the community via the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.
