Browne Academy Students Embrace ‘Playground of Their Dreams’

ALEXANDRIA, VA – When the students of Browne Academy returned from winter break, they found a new playground waiting for them. Its design was inspired by their own work in innovation classes and focused on what they wanted most.

Play is an important in childhood -helping kids learn how to build relationships, solve problems, and communicate.

Kim McCue, Head of Lower School, called the site “the playground of their dreams.”

“Recess duty filled my heart as every grade got to explore our fantastic new playground!” she said “This new space at Browne is another example of how we are committed to the whole child and cherishing childhood.”
