Alexandria Chamber of Commerce Celebrates New Chair with Reception at Mount Vernon Estate
Alexandria, VA – On Thursday, February 9, business and political leaders gathered for the Chamber ALX’s 2023 Chair’s Reception, honoring Nicole McGrew, presented by Dominion Energy.
The Chair’s Reception showcases its new leadership and vision for the year. The event featured sustainable practices including Alexandria beer and cider, Virginia wines, second-hand purchased event supplies, and several sustainable catering practices. Guests built their own savory or sweet crepes, featuring fruits and vegetables once or still grown at the George Washington estate. Attendees also took home a miniature succulent, procured from Greenstreet Gardens!
Many guests had the chance to tour the mansion by candlelight and Councilman John Taylor Chapman kicked it up a notch when he served as the live auctioneer.
