Tryout for VA House of Speed Track Team Sunday, Aug. 27, Free and Open to Elementary Through High School Students

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Northern Virginia competitive track team, VA House of Speed, will hold tryouts this Sunday, Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. at the John Lewis High School track (6540 Franconia Rd., Springfield).

The tryouts are open to elementary and high school students who specialize in running and field events. There is no fee to tryout but registration is required HERE.

The VA House Of Speed is an Amateur aAhletic Union travel track and field program that serves talented and committed athletes in the Northern Virginia area. It provides an opportunity to compete on a national level at events such as the  including the AAU Junior Olympics.

The program aims to develop  help athletes, develop physically, mentally, and hone their abilities in individual events.

Opening just two years ago, in its short history, VA House of Speed has had four AAU National Champions and 26 All-Americans. In addition, three quarters of the team has qualified for AAU Junior Olympics Games.
