Drug Take Back and Disposal Box Net 240 Pounds
Lots of Alexandrians started the new year off by cleaning out their medicine cabinets and safely disposing of unwanted prescription medications at the local Drug Take Back on January 12. Alexandria police officers and sheriff’s deputies staffed drop off sites at The Neighborhood Pharmacy, First Baptist Church, Fire Station 210 and Police Headquarters. Deputies also retrieved full bags from the permanent drop box at The Neighborhood Pharmacy. In total, 240 pounds of medications were collected and then destroyed. The next Drug Take Back will take place April 27.
