ALEXANDRIA, VA – “It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news that Stan Brinkley passed away Sunday, March 24th after a brief illness,” reads the email announcement sent to the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce community this afternoon.

ALX Chamber CEO Joe Haggerty stated, “Stan was a stalwart member of the Chamber team for over a decade. He loved working for the Alexandria Chamber and ensuring that all our financial trains always ran like clockwork. He thoroughly enjoyed interacting with members through our many events, running the office March Madness bracket pool and generally being a jack of all trades (copier repair man, event set up guru, the list goes on and on). Our team is small but mighty in large part due to Stan and we will miss him greatly.”

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pierce Funeral Home (9609 Center St, Manassas, VA 20110). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
