Enjoy a Free Community Back-to-School Community Day

Alexandria, VA – Mount Vernon District Supervisor Dan Storck, School Board Member Mateo Dunne, Neighborhood and Community Services, and the Lorton Community Action Center are hosting a family-friendly day of fun at Back-to-School Community Day on Saturday, August 3, from 10 am – 2 pm at the Lorton Community Center. Community members are invited to enjoy free giveaways of back-to-school supplies, food, music, games, hearing, vision & dental screenings, vaccines, the Park Authority Wonder Wagon, exhibitors, touch-a-truck, and many more fun activities for students and families to enjoy before the start of the new school year! Pictures from last year’s fun-filled event include games, advice tables and a big Back to School sign.
