Housing Alexandria Celebrates 20 Years of Changing Lives

ALEXANDRIA, VA-This year marks the 20th anniversary of Housing Alexandria. For the last two decades, the nonprofit has provided this city’s families with affordable housing and support services. Through its work, the organization has changed countless lives.

“We are incredibly proud of the work we have done over the past 20 years,” said Jon Frederick, President & CEO of Housing Alexandria. “We have been able to provide premiere affordable housing to thousands of people, helping them to build better lives for themselves and their families.”

To date, Housing Alexandria has supported supported 898 existing housing units. According to a press release, the nonprofit is planning 36 new homes and 474 rentals.

In addition to planning and building  homes, Housing Alexandria also aids the community through partnerships and collaborations, advocacy efforts, and resident engagement.

“We are committed to continuing our mission of providing affordable housing and supportive services to the Alexandria community,” Frederick said. “With the support of our partners, volunteers, and donors, we will continue to make a positive impact for years to come.”
