ALEXANDRIA VA — On Thursday, August 7, acclaimed chef, author, and Mediterranean lifestyle expert Amy Riolo will host a one-night-only immersive dinner and presentation: “Moroccan Treasures” at the award-winning Elaine’s Restaurant in Old Town Alexandria.

Riolo, a celebrated figure in international food circles and the author of 21 books, will guide guests through a virtual culinary journey of Morocco, featuring stories, traditions, and tastes from her acclaimed recipe collections.

Known as “The Ambassador of Mediterranean Cuisine in the World”, Riolo will also prepare a four-course Moroccan feast to be served at Elaine’s — a rare opportunity for Alexandrians to experience her cuisine firsthand without packing a passport.

The Menu The evening is priced at $93 per guest, inclusive of tax, tip, and tea.

Adding an extra dash of global adventure, Chef Riolo will be joined by Alex Safos, owner of Indigo Gazelle Tours, to preview their upcoming “Cuisine & Culture Tour of Morocco,” taking place November 8–16, 2025. Guests will have the chance to ask questions about the trip during a live Q&A session, and Chef Riolo will also host a book signing for attendees.
