Tons of Trucks Rolls Back into Alexandria September 20

Climb aboard fire trucks, snow plows, and buses at this free family event featuring hands-on activities, music, art, and more at Chinquapin Park.

Alexandria, VA — Big wheels, big fun! The City of Alexandria’s Tons of Trucks event rolls into Chinquapin Park, 3210 King St., on Saturday, September 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This free, family-friendly event lets kids (and kids at heart!) climb behind the wheel of the city’s coolest vehicles—think fire trucks, snow plows, police cruisers, DASH buses, and more. Meet the crews who keep Alexandria moving, safe, and strong, and check out the tools of their trade.

New this year: Sensory-Friendly Hour
From 10 to 11 a.m., the first hour will be quieter and calmer, designed especially for visitors who prefer a sensory-friendly experience.

Skip the car and take a free DASH Bus or ride Capital Bikeshare. Driving? Parking is available at:
