Alexandria, VA – After a much-missed hiatus, Hank’s Pasta Bar officially made its flavorful return to Alexandria on National Pasta Day, October 17, 2025, reopening as a takeout- and delivery-only concept that celebrates affordability, convenience, and community spirit.

The relaunch marked a new chapter for the Old Town favorite, with Chef Jamie Leeds and the Jamie Leeds Restaurant Group reimagining the popular eatery to meet the needs of busy families and professionals who still crave quality, home-cooked Italian comfort food.

“This is about bringing back everything people loved about Hank’s Pasta Bar, but in the comfort of your own home,” said Chef Jamie Leeds. “We’re making it easier than ever to get inexpensive, nourishing food without giving up quality or time.”

From Montgomery Street to Your Kitchen Table

Operating out of its longtime home at 600 Montgomery Street, Hank’s Pasta Bar now serves customers across greater Alexandria with easy pickup and delivery. The updated menu preserves fan favorites from the original restaurant while adding a creative “build-your-own” pasta concept that gives diners the freedom to customize their meals.

Guests can select from two main options:

  • “Built for You” Entrées, featuring ready-to-order classics like Linguine with Pistachio Pesto & Shrimp and Mafalde with Fennel Sausage; and
  • “Build Your Own” Bowls, where customers mix and match from six pasta varieties (including gluten-free and vegan options), nine sauces, premium proteins, fresh vegetables, and flavorful toppings.

A dedicated Kids & Sides section rounds out the menu with smaller portions, Caesar salad, and seasonal desserts that appeal to the whole family.

Sustainability at the Core

Every meal is crafted using sustainable ingredients and eco-friendly packaging. The restaurant sources its pasta directly from the Mancini family’s wheat fields in Le Marche, Italy, maintaining the same culinary standards that guide Leeds’ own home cooking.

Making an Impact Beyond the Plate

In addition to serving high-quality food, Hank’s Pasta Bar is partnering with Real Food for Kids, a nonprofit dedicated to improving school food and advancing nutrition equity. Diners can choose to round up their orders to help support programs like Chefs Feeding Families, which provides healthy meals to families in need throughout the region.
