Rescheduled: ACPS Science and Engineering Fair

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The annual Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) Science and Engineering Fair has been rescheduled to February 5, 2026.

More than 1,600 middle and high school students submit science fair projects as part of their science classes. The Alexandria City Science Fair then selects more than 200 projects to present to approximately 80 judges. Winners of the Alexandria City Science Fair then move on to compete in the Regional Science Fair.

ACPS Secondary Science Fair

This is your chance to see how our students apply classroom knowledge to real-world issues. Students’ projects will be on display on Thu., Feb. 5, 2026 (snow date), at the Alexandria City High School King Street Campus. Public viewing is scheduled for 5-6 p.m.

ACPS students shine at this event, as they display their hard work fostering a spirit of scientific inquiry while boosting confidence in presenting their ideas. View the Science Fair webpage for additional information.
