An Athenaeum Sculpture Invitational Anchors a Month of Music, Books, and Bold Voices
The gallery’s Sculpture Invitational runs through March 8 with an Artists’ Talk and Closing Reception Sunday at 2 p.m., followed by concerts, workshops, a book launch, and a new exhibition opening March 12.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Continuum is a dynamic full-gallery sculpture exhibition showcasing floor-based works, wall-mounted pieces, and striking site-specific installations by seven accomplished contemporary artists.
The exhibition explores the concept of continuum—revealing connections that endure through time, gradual transformation, and evolving narratives. Each artist offers a compelling perspective on change, continuity, and the stories that shape our experience.
Featuring Works by:
Chris Combs, Roger Cutler, Seemeen Hashem, Jackie Hoysted, Carl Johnson, Brian Kirk, Valerie Theberge
