Alexandria, VA — Mount Vernon Community Children’s Theatre (MVCCT) proudly presents Seussical, the high-energy musical that celebrates friendship, community, and believing in what others can’t yet see. Beloved Dr. Seuss characters leap from the page to the stage as imagination runs wild and hearts grow three sizes.

Weaving classic Dr. Seuss tales together, including Horton Hears a Who!, The Cat in the Hat, and Gertrude McFuzz, Seussical reminds audiences of all ages that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.” Colorful costumes, playful choreography, and toe-tapping music promise fun for the whole family.

MVCCT and West Potomac High School alum Emily Carbone returns to MVCCT to direct the joyful production and guide the next generation of actors on stage. “Seussical was one of the first musicals to really make me fall in love with theatre,” she said. “To go from watching MVCCT’s production 20 years ago, to now leading a new generation of young actors, has been so special, especially with the amount of talent and dedication everyone has brought to the process. These kids have been nothing short of incredible.”
