ALEXANDRIA, VA – Before the fireworks begin, spend your Independence Day treasure hunting at one of Northern Virginia’s favorite community traditions. The Arlington Civitan Open Air Flea Market returns Saturday, July 4, offering shoppers the chance to browse more than 150 vendors while supporting local charities.

Celebrate the Fourth with Hidden Treasures

The Fourth of July marks the fourth Arlington Civitan Open Air Flea Market of the 2026 season as the covered I-66 Parking Garage at Washington-Liberty High School transforms into a bustling marketplace filled with antiques, collectibles, vintage finds, artwork, jewelry, books, furniture, home décor, tools, toys, vinyl records and countless one-of-a-kind items.

Unlike many outdoor flea markets, most vendors are located inside the covered parking garage, providing shoppers with welcome shade while browsing hundreds of unique treasures. Early arrivals can enjoy cooler morning temperatures and the first opportunity to score exceptional bargains before the holiday crowds arrive.

A Tradition That Gives Back

For more than 70 years, the Arlington Civitan Club has hosted the flea market as a major fundraiser benefiting local charities and programs that serve individuals with developmental disabilities throughout Arlington. Every purchase helps support organizations and services that make a meaningful difference in the local community, making each visit an opportunity to shop with purpose.

Something New Every Month

Whether you’re searching for a rare collectible, decorating your home, adding to a vintage collection or simply enjoying a unique shopping experience, the market offers something for everyone. With more than 150 vendors participating, shoppers will discover an ever-changing selection of merchandise. Many visitors return month after month because every market features new vendors, fresh inventory and unexpected bargains.

Admission and parking are free, with parking available through the 15th Street North entrance. Because the majority of vendors are located inside the covered parking garage, the market operates rain or shine while providing relief from the summer sun.
