Travel + Leisure Readers Name Alexandria One of the Nation's Best Cities for the Fifth Consecutive Year
ALEXANDRIA, VA – Alexandria continues to earn national recognition as one of America’s premier travel destinations.
Visit Alexandria announced that Alexandria, Virginia, has once again been named one of Travel + Leisure’s “Best Cities in the U.S.“ as part of the magazine’s prestigious 2026 World’s Best Awards. Alexandria ranked No. 9 this year, marking the fifth consecutive year the city has earned a place among the nation’s top 10 destinations.
The annual rankings are determined by votes from Travel + Leisure readers, placing Alexandria alongside celebrated destinations including Santa Fe, Savannah, New Orleans, and Charleston.
