Alexandria’s New Indoor Rowing Gym Will Burn 700 Calories per Class

Row, Row, Row Your Way to Fitness when Alexandria Approves Row House Franchise

Row House was founded in NYC in 2014, by industry-leading experts, husband and wife team, Debra Strougo and Eric Frohlich.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – In an Administrative Special Use Permit recently filed with the City, Row House franchise owners are requesting to operate a 2200 square foot indoor rowing facility at 530 First Street, which is where all the action in Old town construction is of late.

That end of town (where the old Giant stood for decades)  is going to boast new luxury apartments, a knockout steak house, Thai restaurant and other retail including the existing ABC Liquor store.

The rowing gym explains their operation in the application, outlining that it conducts classes of up to 25 people at a time for about 50 minutes of total body, low-impact cardio. Most important of all, each class burns up to 700 calories.
