Alexandria Library Offers Online Resource Tool EZProxy
ALEXANDRIA, VA — During this time of school closures, expanded online learning, and social distancing recommendations, access to premium research tools that provide access to information from reliable sources is important. Alexandria Library Offers Online Resource Tool EZProxy to make access to these resources easier to use.
These resources are available to anyone with a valid Alexandria Library card. If you don’t have a card, but live in the DC metro area, you can sign up to get one here.
The easiest way to access library resources from home is to connect through the Library website: https://alexlibraryva.org/databases.
* Click on the title for the resource you’d like to use.
* A login page will open in a new browser window.
* Enter your library card number (no spaces) and PIN.
* Click the “Login” button.
If you wish to use another resource during this session, navigate back to the database web page and click on that resource. You should not have to login again. Your session will end when you close your web browser.
With this updated login method customers have access to over 60 different databases, eBooks, book recommendations, resume builders, investment information, and recipes from around the world.
If you’ve never used a database or need a refresher, tutorials are available for each resource. Join us for an introduction class on December 1 at 10 am. If you need a more in-depth session, consider booking a 30-minute one-on-one session with the Digital Services Librarian.
