ALEXANDRIA, VA-The Virginia Department of Social Services announced today that emergency benefits will continue for this month for households that are registered with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This support has helped families who cannot afford food during the pandemic.
The benefits will be loaded automatically to Electronic Benefits Transfer cards on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
These emergency allotments raise existing SNAP households’ monthly allotment to the maximum allowable based on household size: See the chart below.
