ALEXANDRIA, VA-The Alexandria Health Department (AHD) is currently scheduling vaccine appointment for people in Phase 1c. This includes essential workers in areas such as IT, Media, Energy, and Water.

At this time, AHD has enough vaccine supply to offer appointments to pre-registered individuals in Phase 1a, 1b, and 1c without further prioritization.  As reported in The Zebra two days ago, all Virginians ages 16 years and older will be eligible for the vaccine during Phase 2, beginning April 18.

The city encourages residents who pre-registered before March 30 to fill out this form, if there is not an appointment notification in their email’s inbox or spam folder.

In the coming weeks, AHD will launch an updated appointment system to offer more choices for residents to receive vaccines in Phase 2.  People will have the choice of making appointment directly with grocery stores or pharmacies, without having to wait for a call or email from the city.

All residents who want to receive a vaccine are encouraged to visit alexandriava.gov/Vaccines to pre-register or update their records.
