ALEXANDRIA, VA – Like many restaurants and bars today, Old Hat Bar is having problems hiring enough full and part-time staff, and it’s going to delay their much-anticipated opening.

“After experimenting with a smaller, but equally great menu, we realized the undersized crew we have is not enough to insure the quality we want to offer. Unfortunately we have to postpone our opening. We will be in touch as quickly as possible with a date for a soft opening,” said business partners, Jack Caminos and Tim Prosser who had planned to open their doors to their new gastropub this coming Friday, May 21.

Old Hat Bar, located in the renovated King Street Blues building at 112 North Saint Asaph Street in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia,  is hiring now and has ads posted on their Facebook page for those interested.

In the meantime, we have taken a look at the expected menu and think this new addition to Alexandria’s extensive foodie portfolio will be worth the wait.
