Friday, November 29, 2 to 4 p.m., Bring the Holiday Spirit to a Local Nursing Home — Spread cheer and companionship to seniors living in a nursing home with the Holiday Project. Volunteers would play games and engage in holiday festivities.

Dec 8 through 11, Assist with Holiday Sharing — The Department of Community & Human Services is looking for help with its Holiday Sharing program, which assists economically disadvantaged clients with gifts for their children for the holidays. Volunteers would check-in clients, organize gifts, load vehicles, translate, and, if possible, provide transportation.

Dec 11 through 14, Volunteer for the Toys4ALX Drive — Volunteer Alexandria is seeking volunteers to help nearly 800 families have a brighter holiday this season! Assistance is needed with transporting toys from collection sites, counting, sorting, setting up, translating, gift wrapping, and providing support.

Friday, December 13, 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., Help Prepare for UNCUT Youth’s Toys for Tots Giveaway — UNCUT Youth is partnering with Toys for Tots and needs volunteers to help sort and organize gifts for distribution the next day.

Saturday, December 14, Distribute Toys for UNCUT Youth’s Toys for Tots Giveaway — UNCUT Youth is partnering with Toys for Tots and needs volunteers to distribute gifts for families.

Develop Social Media Content for a Scholarship Fund — The Alexandria Music Makers Scholarship Fund is seeking a volunteer to create and manage their social media content.

Adopt a Family this Holiday Season — People can help families by fulfilling their holiday wishlist with Ayuda. People will receive a family’s list and background information, then can drop off gifts at their local office.

Photograph, Edit Video, or Create Content for an Animal Rescue — Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is looking for volunteers to film footage at weekend events, assist with editing video, or creating engaging content for its social media channels.
