St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes Competes on It’s Academic, Dec. 7

Be Sure to Watch Alexandria Students Answer Trivia

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Set your DVRs or watch it live on Saturday, December 7, 2024, when three students from St. Stephens and St. Agnes go head to head on It’s Academic with some pretty smart kids from Parkdale High School in Riverdale, MD, and Georgetown Day School in Washington, D.C.

It’s Academic is recognized by The Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s longest-running quiz program in TV history. It was founded in 1961 by Producer Sophie Altman in Washington, D.C. Throughout the show’s more than 60 seasons, thousands of students from high schools across the D.C. Metro area have competed, celebrating a lifelong journey of learning and accomplishments over many generations. Now in its 64th season, It’s Academic is exclusively broadcast on WETA.

Episodes broadcast on Saturdays at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on WETA PBS, and 10 a.m., 7 p.m., and 11 p.m. on WETA Metro.
