Alexandria Honors 2025 Beautification Award Winners

Alexandria, VA – The City of Alexandria celebrated its most beautiful spaces and community spirit at the annual Alexandria Beautification Awards, held at AlexRenew — itself a proud award recipient. The event, organized by the Alexandria Beautification Commission, recognized residents, organizations, and institutions that make Alexandria a more vibrant, sustainable, and welcoming city.
Beautification Commission Chair Eleanor Trice opened the evening with remarks on the importance of community-led care and creativity. Mayor Alyia Gaskins and Vice Mayor Sarah Bagley extended congratulations to all recipients, applauding their efforts in preserving the city’s character and natural beauty.
Vice Chair Elizabeth Gelfer presented the awards, with sponsorship support from Whole Foods Market, Fresh Market, and Giant Food. Guests also connected with local environmental exhibitors including ALX Dog Walk, Eco-City Alexandria, Master Gardeners of Northern Virginia, Northern Virginia Bird Alliance, and Tree Stewards of Alexandria & Arlington.
