Water Damage Shifts SNAP, Medicaid and Other Services Inside Del Pepper
Water damage on the sixth and seventh floors of Alexandria’s Del Pepper Community Resource Center may affect SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, child-welfare and other essential services.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandrians visiting the Del Pepper Community Resource Center for benefits, employment help or family services should check with lobby staff before heading upstairs.
The City says water damage on the building’s sixth and seventh floors is affecting the location of services inside 4850 Mark Center Drive.
Programs that may be affected include the Workforce Development Center, SNAP, EBT, TANF, Medicaid, Children’s Behavioral Health and Child Welfare, according to a notice on the Department of Community and Human Services website.
The building remains open, and the City is directing visitors to follow posted signs or ask lobby staff for the correct floor.
Workforce Services Move to Fifth Floor
The Workforce Development Center’s Career Center has temporarily relocated to the fifth-floor Training Room.
Career Center clients should check in at the Customer Relations lobby on the fifth floor. Laptops remain available for benefit applications and job searches, and the City says EBT and other workforce-service inquiries are also being handled there.
The City has not announced how long the temporary arrangements will remain in place.
Because the changes involve several high-use programs, residents may want to check the City’s current service notices before traveling to Del Pepper—particularly if they have an appointment or need assistance on a specific floor.
